Career Change Programme

Have you fallen out of love with your current career?  Are you looking for a career change but don't know what it looks like yet? Feeling stuck can feel demoralising and scary. 

Career change coaching is a process that helps individuals make a transition to a new career, industry, or way of working. It involves identifying skills, values, and lifestyle needs, removing psychological barriers, and developing a plan to achieve the desired outcome. A career change coach provides guidance and support throughout this process.

What my Career Change Coaching Programme involves:

There are several stages to the Career Change Coaching Programme, all designed with you in mind, to build confidence, clarity and motivation to make the change you long for.

Together we will:

        Set Goals: Identify what you want from a career change and by when

        Self-Assess: Understand your skills, values and interests

        Explore: Research different career paths and industries that align with your goals 

        Plan: Develop a strategic step-by-step plan

        Support and Motivate: Provide encouragement and accountability

        Develop: Identify and address any skill gaps that may hinder change 

        Network: Helping you build a network of contacts in your new field 

 

Step One: 

  • In depth look at your personality type, strengths and values
  • Understand your motivators and incentives 
  • Explore what a change of career looks like for you- sector, hours, location etc
  • Agree your goals

Step Two: 

  • Create a vision of your successful future
  • Explore options to help find your dream job
  • Devise a recruitment strategy designed specifically for you
  • Provide advice and guidance on retraining if needed 

Step Three:

  • Provide you with ways to grow and leverage your network more fully
  • Help you network more productively 
  • Advice on CV and cover letter to align with new career prospects
  • Give you the tools to make speculative approaches to organisations of interest

Also included:

  • Worksheets and useful exercises between coaching sessions
  • Recommended reading materials

Sessions will ideally be held on a weekly basis for the first three sessions, then fortnightly or monthly for the subsequent three sessions.

I’ve changed careers and sectors… more than once or twice! 😊

After completing my degree in TV, Film and Theatre Studies I did my TEFL training and went to sunny Seville, where I ran my own little English Teaching business. Fast forward a few years, and living in London on a TEFL teacher’s salary just wasn’t cutting it, so I embarked on a new career, in recruitment for the Construction Industry. The money was great, the hours were long, and the competition was fierce, but I enjoyed it.
